SUMMARY:SERIES CONCERT: Surviving Inquisition with Forgotten Clefs
DESCRIPTION:Performed by Forgotten Clefs\, “Surviving Inquisition” traces the musical journey of Sephardic Jews from the thirteenth century in Alfonso el Sabio’s Castile\, through the early years of the Inquisition in late fifteenth-century Catholic Spain\, to Italy in the early seventeenth century\, where many Jews lived following expulsion.
