The upcoming 2013-2014 season will celebrate Mallarmé’s 30^th Anniversary!

Help us start it off with a bang! We are asking friends and concert-goers to consider making a donation of $30 or more right now to become (or remain) a Friend of Mallarmé. As a Friend, you will be eligible for special ticket discounts, opportunities to purchase tickets before they go on public sale and invitations to special events. As a past patron and supporter of Mallarmé, I know you won’t want to miss a minute of our exciting 30^th Anniversary Season!

Highlights of our 30^th anniversary season include:

• Five regular subscription concerts, featuring a concert of Art song given by Ellen Ciompi in a cabaret style; a concert with home-grown stars, violinist Jennifer Curtis and guitarist Matthew Slotkin; a concert performance of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the North Carolina Master Chorale; and collaborations with Helen Simoneau Danse and the Choral Society of Durham

• A bigger and more action-packed NC HIP Music Festival

• Two family concerts at Duke Gardens (new in 2012-2013)

• A Gala concert honoring composer Robert Ward with his “Serenade for Mallarmé” at the Arthur and Florence Larson house in Durham

• Mallarme Immersion Into the Arts programming at Durham Nativity School

As a Friend, you will receive an invitation to our Party on the Porch on June 9, 2013 at the home of Beverly and Dennis Meek, the Joseph and Martha Franck House in Trinity Heights Historic District where you will have an opportunity to hear members of our adult chamber music seminar perform. And I want you to celebrate Mallarme with us!

Mallarme Immersion into The Arts (MIIA) brought the Durham Nativity School students to the El Anatsui exhibition at the NC Museum of Art in spring 2012.

The price of your ticket covers only a small fraction of the cost of Mallarmé’s concerts.

We hope you will buy tickets (and sell them to your friends!) and continue your additional gifts that support Mallarmé each year. With your financial support we will be able to keep our programs intact and ensure that concerts continue.

• Any gift of money, large or small, is a tax-deductible gift.
• Donate your ticket for any concert you can’t attend to a music student or teacher, in return for a tax-deductible receipt.
• Stock donations are gladly accepted and may provide tax benefits to you as well.

VOLUNTEER

We are always in search of volunteers! You can help keep Mallarmé’s costs down by volunteering to usher at concerts or assist with office work, among many other ways to help us with the gift of your time.
