VIOLAMANIA

Sunday April 1, 2012 at 3 pm, any and all violists are invited to participate in
"The Viola (is not a) Joke!" concert including a finale for multiple violas in what hopes to be the largest viola ensemble this side of the rockies!

Any violist who can play the 1st and 2nd movements of the Telemann Viola Concerto is invited to bring their instrument and a music stand to perform the first two movements of the Telemann in the concert's finale, along with the professional players. Guest artist Katrina Wreede, formerly of the Turtle island String Quartet, will lead the ensemble and some of the pros will play the accompaniment arranged by Ms. Wreede for viola quartet.

Ms. Wreede will also be leading a workshop, "Violas on a Roll", Saturday, March 31, 3:00 pm at the Nelson Music Room at Duke University.
